The Acorn Lodge is a small, budget hotel situated just 5 minutes from Gatwick Airport and within walking distance from the town of Horley. This is an ideal position for guests who wish to do any shopping before their flight, or sample the bars and restaurants in the town centre.

After a dreadful time trying to leave the Isle of Wight, we were very pleased with the reception,room,food, and taxi service provided by the Hotel. The fact that we weren't expecting a full English breakfast (not advertised) was a bonus, as was the fact that it was almost waiting for us when we came down for our early start. The room was well-equipped (when we had bprrowed a hair-dryer!)and comfortable. On the whole, a very pleasurable experience to start our trip. Do you have similar hotels near Heathrow?

The hotel is immaculately clean, fresh and recently refurbished. The strict no eating/smoking/drinking in the rooms ensures they remain fresh and clean, and as it's generally for one night does not cause a problem. The restaurant offers very good quality food both for dinner or breakfast, depending if you are staying before your holiday or on your return. The transfer services costs £2 each person, but covers both to and from airport runs. They are very prompt, 15 minutes from call to arrival at the airport, unlike others who have a huge wait at certain points during the night. They seem to offer the same service 24/7.Well above the quality I've experienced from their competitors, whose service and rooms are laughably poor. The rooms are not huge but again of a good quality finish. Would recommend the Acorn and will use again.

I was quite surprised how much you get for your money at the acorn. We had parking, transfers and two full English breakies in the morning and there wasn't any extra hidden costs, which really annoys me with some hotels. I'd definitely use this service again.

stayed on the 05/09/11 for 1 night and 2 weeks carparking. room was good and quite, had a evening meal in house, nothing special. breakfast was ok.

Staff were really friendly and helpful with arranging our early morning transfer. Our room was a bit small, but expected that, and it was perfectly comfortable.
