The Britannia Russ Hill Hotel Gatwick is pleasantly situated amongst nine acres of countryside in the charming village of Charlwood. Still just four miles from Gatwick Airport, the Russ Hill has all the convenience of an airport hotel with none of the noise or concrete surroundings you might associate with that kind of accommodation.
The hotel's Victorian architecture houses 130 bedrooms and conference facilities for up to 300 people. Aswell as single, double, and twin rooms, the Russ Hill also provides larger family rooms and honeymoon suites. With modern furnishings, each uniquely decorated room features an en-suite bathroom with choice of bath or shower, a TV, telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a hair-dryer.
The Russ Hill Hotel invites their guests to choose from their Ruspers Restaurant or Garden Lounge Bar for full evening meals and light bites. The restaurant offers a wide selection of favourites, including fish and chips and grilled steak. At weekends there is a carvery available for those hungry for a traditional roast. Alternatively, the Garden Lounge Bar serves fresh sandwiches, baguettes, and paninis.
Onsite parking is a very popular requirement amongst guests staying at the Russ Hill. There is a 24-hour bus transfer service to and from the airport, which makes the budget rate for this package deal all the more impressive.
The Russ Hill Hotel Gatwick ticks the following boxes:

We thought the Russ Hill was quite nicely done out - not like a hilton or anything, so don't expect everything to be brand new - but it had a comfortable feel to it. Beer garden was nice surprise - and we just caught the good weather!

The food and service was decent, and it was great having sky sports in the bar, but would have preferred something more modern and closer to the airport. Still, it was clean and very reasonably priced.

Taken on its merits we couldn't really fault the russ hill. Cheap, 24 hour transfers, and friendly service was all we wanted, and that's exactly what we got. Great value parking too. If that's a priority you could do much, much worse in my experience. Will be coming back to the russ hill in 6 months time for our next trip from Gatwick.

The Russ Hill Hotel offers value parking packages and a peaceful village setting just a short transfer from Gatwick Airport.
Popular amongst guests is the variety of freshly prepared food, served both in the restaurant and the garden.
