The Travelodge Gatwick is under two miles from the airport and provides top service and a comfortable resting place at very reasonable rates. The building is modern and the interiors basic - everything is designed to keep costs low whilst also making sure guests can rest in complete comfort.
In the Travelodge room there is an en-suite bathroom, colour TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, and comfortable bedding. An iron and ironing board, hair-dryer, and any extra pillows, sheets, and towels needed can be ordered from reception. A cot can also be arranged prior to your arrival.
Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's Wi-Fi access, licensed bar and cafe, and parking at the Airparks Park and Ride. Travelodge Gatwick can provide 8 or 15 day parking packages and regular 24-hour airport transfers. Driving to the airport takes around 15 minutes.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean (although a little dated in some areas). Food was ok. The bar/cafe area was clean and tidy. We had a view of the runway on the second floor - so spent time watching planes take off and land - added bonus :) If you are expecting a luxury hotel this is not for you, but for a basic base to put your head for the night - its ideal. I have stayed in many lodgings over time - and this is not the worst by a long shot. - Bed was very comfy. So glad I didn't cancel - well worth the money!!

We used this prior to an early as we booked early we got it at a silly low price. The room was clean as was the bathroom. Certainly the public areas were well used etc and unless you find a place to park along the road outside you will have to pay a fee for the car park. We did not have a meal so unable to comment on the food. All in all an excellent value for money stay for one night.
The Travelodge Gatwick covers all the services needed to get your holiday off to the most comfortable start possible.
